Reach out if

If your problem starts to negatively affect your life.

When negative changes in emotions, performance, or physical health have lasted for two or more weeks.

It’s a good idea for you to reach out if a problem starts to negatively impact your life. Because mental health problems can cause difficulties in relationships with family, friends, and co-workers, leaving them untreated often diminishes one’s ability to enjoy life.

Keep in mind the power of social support when you’re reaching out. If you can speak about the issue with a family member, friend, or trusted co-worker, that might be all the help that’s needed. If this does not fully help, then it might be time to seek professional help. We can’t emphasize it enough, as soon as you notice the signs, don’t wait and reach out.

Wellness Plan

Very importantly, refer to your Wellness Plan and the Espri TELUS App that will provide you with warning signs of declining mental health, coping strategies you can draw from, people and places that may distract you, people, professionals or agencies where you can ask for help and ways you can make your environment safe.
