Part One: What is Mental Health

The Mental Health Continuum tool provides a way to look at the relationship between good, declining, or poor mental health and a diagnosable mental illness or disorder.

First we’ll look at how we define mental health, review the different colour phases and areas of change in the Mental Health Continuum, and then explore the three principles of recovery.

Here are some widely recognized descriptions of mental health.
